Our lists are so similar now lol Except Noble Cause, what am I even running instead… oh Here To Serve (which I’d probably run Calm instead of Noble) Also -1 arya +1 luwin (for the plot) -1 Royce +1 Will, -1 Longclaw +1 Meager, and i feel like 1 less aemon but I’m not sure who replaces him…

Oh I figured it out, Yoren . I do recommend

I’m going to second replacing ANC with HTS. HTS is in effect a 6g plot, thins your deck, gives you another card slot (since you can run Aemon 2x) and ensures you can save your bodies from round 1 if needed. With the 3g you can still play your little lord and ladies Arya, Sansa and Bran (not having 6-7g lords/ladies in a deck makes ANC much worse imo).

I played Here to Serve. I personally was not a fan. It is great getting Aemon out early, but it’s a plot that is not able to play the Wall, making it incredibly restrictive.

Plus, if I take Noble Cause out, I will not have a good turn 1 plot. I want to get some economy out, as I 9 cards turn 1, so I can’t really go with Here to Serve, otherwise I’ll likely be discarding cards at the end of the turn with it’s 6 reserve, especially if, as you said, I only play Sansa or Arya, leaving 8 cards in hand a lot of the time.

I thought about Calm Over Westeros to replace Noble Cause, but that 7 gold plot is incredible for early game. You have a huge need to get up to 4 to 5 bodies relatively quickly, especially if you are holding the Wall. A typical game is 7 to 8 gold on set up with the Wall in hand, play Noble Cause and bring out Sansa, Arya or Bran and playing the Wall.

Obviously, you guys may play differently, but I feel very very empty without Noble Cause in my deck. It just too often is an amazing turn 1 plot.

@GIBraag``@Drakk Not sure if my comment would notify you if I didn’t @ your name.

Good point on the reserve. You effectively have 3g (plus any economy) to play your 9 cards. Since you get one card draw (Aemon) for free, however, I feel it’s not so bad if at the end of the turn you have to discard 2 to reserve (1 might go anyway to an Int challenge - and Sam/The Iron Throne/a dupe can help also). Just some things to consider.

Just played two games on Octgn with your deck (-1 ANC, -1 Ghost, -1 Aemon, +1 HTS, +1 Will, +1 Old Forest Hunter). Played HTS Turn 1 just to test and had no trouble with reserve. Two solid wins (vs GJ/wolf and Martell/lion).

@GIBraagAgain, I just don’t like that I can’t play the Wall off of it. I mulligan aggressively for the Wall, so I intend to play it turn 1 unless my Icon spread is shot.

The reserve was just an additional irritation.

We may just play the deck a little differently.

Indeed, I run Building Orders and try to have the Wall out in turn 2-3, after setting up defences. I now see that you prefer to get it out one or two turns earlier.

@GIBraag Yea, I have tried fitting Building Orders in multiple times, but it just never seems to work for my play style, for whatever reason.
