Won the Canton Games Store Championship (Baltimore, MD) with this deck on Saturday going 5-1 on the day. All my opponents played really well, and all of the games were very close. There were at least 3 games I won that ended up being 15-14 or 15-13 so it was not an easy field despite the smaller tournament size.

W vs Greyjoy Fealty, W vs Lanni Wolf, W vs NW Rains (mirror), L vs Greyjoy Rose, W vs Bara Red Door

Final - W vs Lanni Crossing

MVPs:

Grenn - This card single handedly allowed me to crawl back in several games on the day. Against Bara HRD who set up Table and Chair turn 1 I saved him instead of John Snow on quite a few occasions when resets hit because he was such a house.

Craster - Makes the entire deck work and is one of the most crucial cards to see in a lot of matchups. Just the ability to double valar with him out on the board is one of the stronger parts about the deck.

Jon Snow (WotW) - Absolute rains triggering machine. Attacking with both Jon and Craster and then standing them both is pretty strong; especially when they both have icon granting attachments.

Craven - A few of my opponents were able to Iron Bank or Sow to remove some of my cravens which hurt, but for the most part they did a lot of work for me in the matchups I needed them. I drew two of these early against Bill playing Lanni Crossing and they were absolutely crucial. They helped me to suppress the rush enough to pull out a close 15-13 victory.

Maester Aemon - Surprisingly no Targ or Martell in this tournament so I didn't have to worry about Dragon Is No Slave, Nightmares into Crown, or Venomous Blade, and Aemon was great as he always is. I normally played here to serve turn 1, 2, or 3 every game and often waited for the dupe to play it unless I suspected an early opposing Valar.

The inspiration for this deck came from Argento's latest version of the Superstewards III deck that was posted a few weeks back, and I wanted to give credit where it's due there. Journey to Oldtown and Kingsmoot were not out when his deck was posted, and I did include cards from both of those packs. A lot of the character base is the same, but there are some pretty notable differences as this version is well over 15 cards different. Safe to say that this is much less of a "Supersteward" deck, hence the quotes, since Bowen and Satin were both reduced to 1x.

Notable Omissions:

Plot Deck:

-1x The Fire That Burns, +1x Counting Coppers

I really like The Fire That Burns in a Rains deck like this, and I think it's a good card here so this was a hard call. However, when the only draw was Bowen Marsh at 3x, Arry, Messenger Ravens, and Riddling an opponents coppers, it did not feel like enough. So, I decided to replace it with Coppers, rework the deck a bit, and never regretted the decision once.

-2x Bowen Marsh - This was one of the toughest decisions that was made in the deck building/testing process. After a lot testing games with my close friend Martin (Mayain), we just felt like we never got the use out of Bowen that warranted him being a 3x in the deck. Granted he is a power int bicon in Night's Watch which is remarkable, but he was more often than not only drawing me max 1-3 cards before leaving the table. A lot of the time I would not see him when I needed him. Also, you are never saving Bowen over Jon Snow and in my opinion he does not provide consistent enough draw for the deck. I think dropping him to 1x was the correct decision but I would love to hear people's thoughts on that.

-1x Arry -2x Halder, -2x Satin, -2x Builder at the Wall

-3x Dragonglass Dagger, -2x Longclaw

Notable Additions:

+1x Cotter Pyke, +1x Littlefinger, +1x Thoros of Myr, +1x Ser Waymar Royce, +1x Grenn, +1x Yoren, +1x House Maester

+2x Practice Blade

+1x Mole's Town, +1x The Haunted Forest, +1x Isle of Raves

+2x Hands Judgement - Did not want to run any events but We do not sow, treachery, burn, and nightmares are all too big of problems for this deck.

Haunted Forest Scout? Will you make amends to the deck and try to include them?

Scouts probably aren't good in a wall deck. better in lotc
