This deck is pretty much your standard 2018 Bara. The addition of Selyse Baratheon (FotOG) and Dragonstone Castle give Baratheon more things that they can actually DO, rather than just sitting on your butt probably collecting dominance. Like I said, this deck is fairly simple, so I don't really think any advanced write-up is required. But I will explain some of my decisions. and highlight the main combos.

Selyse Baratheon (FotOG): Self-explanatory, the super-star of this deck. For maximum effectiveness, here's what you need to do: 1) Be going second, 2) Have the ladies on your opponent's field knelt with Dragonstone Castle or Melisandre (Core), 3) Have Chamber of the Painted Table out, and 4) Have it be a The Withering Cold round. Not all of these are required, but if you can't make any of them happen, it's probably not a good round to play her. Recycle your Selyse by choosing her for military claim and then using Spears of the Merling King to put her back in hand. Consider putting her back in your hand at the end of the challenges phase with The Iron Bank Will Have Its Due; all of the gold will help you win dominance if your opponent is trying to take it from you that round. If you're feeling extra cheeky, Valar Morghulis yourself while Mommy and Beric Dondarrion are on the field, kick Mom up to the hand with Spears, and have Beric remain. You can get Selyse's effect off at least 3 times in the average game, as long as you're smart about how you use her.

As with all Baratheons, this deck is extremely location-centric. As always, you want to have your The Iron Throne and Chamber of the Painted Table out ASAP; Devan Seaworth and Support of the People are there to help with that.

Robert Baratheon is only here to make it more likely that The King in the North doesn't stab you in the back. He'll always be a perfectly fine beatstick now and forever, and he might even eat a Milk of the Poppy that otherwise would've landed on Stan or Melisandre.

Matchups: I haven't played with this deck enough times to have a handle on all of the matchups, but here are a few:

Burn Targaryen: It's actually not the burn that you need to worry about, here. It'll pick off your expendables, sure, but you would much rather leave your big folks standing to collect dom rather than risk them getting incinerated. Then you take the power you lost back with Painted Table. No, what you need to watch out for is Plaza of Pride and Rhaegal. If they're able to attack and stand back up, they can contest you for dominance and keep their important people out of reach of Dragonstone Castle. In a situation like this, it may be wiser just to pop Castle at the beginning of the challenges phase on the usual perpetrators.

Pillage Greyjoy: Bad matchup. They're gonna trash your locations left and right. Keep Asha Greyjoy (Km) locked down as best you can, since she's the only relevant lady. Don't be afraid to aggro on military, especially if you have Robert Baratheon on the field, and The Hand's Judgment in hand to block Risen from the Sea. Their characters are much stronger than yours, and if multiple strong people are coming out then pulling off multiple Selyse combos in a row becomes your only hope.

Is The Iron Bank Will Have Its Due really that good with Selyse Baratheon (FotOG)? Especially if you play her on a The Withering Cold turn, it takes 3 turns to play her again. The upcoming R'hllor event in the next chapter pack (https://i.redd.it/r38jlwvlh8g01.jpg) might work better.

Agreed, the faction card kneel from Selyse Baratheon (FotOG) and The Iron Bank Will Have Its Due really interfere with each other..

@Diomedes``@starclown Having played a similar deck before, I can tell you that they are really good with each other. Just don't plan on playing the two cards on the same turn.

Are you not scared about political desaster?
And I guess you use LSF as opener? Why you will feed the opponents hand? Wouldn't trading be better. If you have a early selyse trigger, maybe your opponent have to kneel more characters or you can valar them early.

Whats with Valar Dohaeris? You play a lot of 7G characters. Also no problems with setup?

Actually I play Selyse in a Bara/Wolf build. But not a dominance build, it's also funny. Selyse is better then I expected.

What's with all the economy? you've 14 limited, plus 3 reducers, and a plot line with very high gold count. Sure, you've a big guys deck, but do you really need all those limited?
