This deck is bad so don't look too hard at the list lol, I'm just hyped that I could finally bring Tower of Joy to ThronesDB!
New features:
- validation of ToJ draft decks
- use any number of copies of drafted cards
- search for rarity by using
r:common - switch between constructed and variant agendas on deck creation
It feels incredible to me seeing people around the world draft this set and have this community finally be excited about draft again. I hope we can keep up the momentum and really solidify draft as the third pillar of this beautiful game, after it was more of a footnote in recent years. Keep it up!
On the draft: This was my first draft with the fixed 2026 packs. Started out strong with Daenerys Targaryen (ToJ) and Ser Barristan Selmy (ToJ) and a few good Martell cards that made me aim for either Targ/Sealing the Pact Martell or Targ Join Forces Mercenaries. However Martell got cut off and I was too slow to pivot so I ended up with not enough cards to go for either option.
So I went with an Unknown and Unknowable build using Martell and some filler (I think it was Stark or Tyrell) and lost against Feuerbart's Baratheon Seeking Fortunes in the first game. Got a BYE for the second game which is becoming a tradition for me with draft, and used the time to reexamine my deck. I pulled the third faction and used my few NW cards instead where Benjen Stark (ToJ) is just a good card and Insubordination (ToJ), while I usually would rarely include it, would help me against Ben since I knew he had The Knight of Flowers (ToJ).
Last match actually went much better thanks to my Dany/Barry couple coming out very soon and Insubordination holding the KoF back as I hoped, but Ben nevertheless had the stronger deck and won with Martell Join Forces Knights. GG
