This deck went 4-1 in swiss, only losing to a mirror matchup.

First round: GJ Fealty - Loss

I was behind in tempo, as my opponent had his Theon and Asha while I only had Euron. With his many unopposed challenges, he was able to get a large card and power advantage, even though I used We Do Not Sow to destroy his Great Kraken twice.

Second round: Tyrell The Lord of the Crossing - Win

I had my The Seastone Chair out in my setup, and while my opponent did get a The Queen of Thorns with Knighted down, I was able to target down his The Knight of Flowers that she put into play. After Confiscation, his Queen was attachmentless, so he poured resources onto the board to make sure I didn't get an unopposed military challenge. By the end of the phase I just had Theon and Asha, whlie he had 7 charaters. A Wildfire cleaned up the board, and I was able to win from there.

Third round: Targ Fealty - Win

I think this was my closest game of the tournament. My opponent was able to get out Dany early, and I did not see my The Seastone Chair or Put to the Sword, so I had a hard time fighting back. I was mostly on the defense, keeping my characters alive barely until he was at 12 power, with Dany, Khal Drogo, the 3 dragons, and Ser Jorah Mormont. I realized my only way out of this game was if he had somehow not drawn a Dracarys!, so I started to use my Great Kraken to pull power rather than cards, and then dropped A Clash of Kings and went for a full power challenge with a bumped up Balon Greyjoy. As luck would have it, there was no Dracarys, so I took the match by the skin of my teeth.

Fourth Round: Martell LotC - Win

This was another close game, as I had to deal with Doran Martell from the start, followed quickly by Arianne Martell. In fact, every turn he was able to play Arianne again, bringing into play: Wildling Horde, Syrio Forel, and Nymeria Sand in order. Thanks to my Balon Greyjoy and Iron Fleet Scout I was still able to push some unopposed challenges allowing me to get to 11 power to his 13. Then we both flipped A Clash of Kings, but thanks to a stolen The Kingsroad I was able to win initiative. With enough stealth and a Raiding Longship, I was able to get all the power I needed.

Fifth Round: Stark Fealty - Win

This was late in the day, and I only just came out of my previous game that was a serious number cruncher, so I wasn't playing at my best, but having a duped Euron and a Seastone chair allowed me to bully my opponent around. Confiscation did work this game, taking out Ice being held by Arya Stark. Another notable success this game was using Aeron Damphair to bring back my Balon Greyjoy who was pulled from my hand first turn by Heads on Spikes.

The Cut! I placed 3rd overall with my 4-1 finish, losing in strength of schedule to the two other 4-1, and beating out the 3-1-1.

Semi-Finals: Lannister Banner of the Sun - Win

I was playing against my meta-mate who I had yet to beat in a tournament, so I had already psyched myself out, assuming the worst. In the first turn he already had Tyrion Lannister, Nymeria Sand, and The Hound, while I believe I had Theon Greyjoy and Balon Greyjoy. I played very defensively, trying to keep the Hound on the board, and not let him jump back into hand, as that effectively gives him the additional text: "Pay 4 gold to stand The Hound after he wins a challenge." and with Tyrion on board, my Lannister opponent had plenty to spare.

I was able to keep putting down threats, getting a duped Euron, and luckily my opponent was having a hard time getting more threats down onto the table after my turn 3 wildfire. On that turn he was finally able to bounce the Hound back to hand, but didn't have the 4 gold to bring him back as I did not initiate an intrigue challenge, which left him with a duped Tyrion and a Duped Nymeria, leading me to use my Marched to the Wall for its best use all day. In conjunction with his Calling the Banners, I was able to remove Nym, and reduce the gold my opponent would get by 1. That one gold turned out to be game winning as it kept a Treachery from hitting the board in my final power push with Theon, Balon, Euron, and my Great Kraken.

Finals - Lannister The Lord of the Crossing - Win

This was a tense match. I felt like I was trying to hold back a flood of aggression, being hit with Tears of Lys (Risen from the Sea MVP this game), and potential Put to the Swords. I was forced to forgo attacking with Theon and Balon so I could actually defend against the Mighty Hound empowered by TLotC.

What surprised me was the amount of draw that my opponents aggro deck had, pushing into Counting Coppers often and early. I was also forced to refill my hand with Littlefinger and Counting Coppers as I never had more than one intrigue icon on the board, which allowed Tyrion to run rampant.

But after fighting against the flood for 3 turns, I was able to turn it around with a A Clash of Kings turn, taking initiative and making a large power swing with my tried and true Euron, Balon, Great Kraken and Theon.

As we were splitting to the final 4 the power went out in our area. After a fair amount of scrambling in the dark, we migrated to a nearby Round Table to finish up our matches while a rainstorm raged on outside.

Oh and one more note about the Targ matchup, Asha was hit with a Crown of Gold, but once against my trusty Risen from the Sea was able to keep her alive long enough for me to use Confiscation to get rid of that ridiculous card, giving me a slight edge in tempo.
