This has been a deck I've been testing on Octgn and finally got to test against face to face opponents. I've tried many...many builds with the Watch and I just couldn't find a deck I had fun with until this one. Your key cards in this deck on Sansa, the Wall, Ned (Eddard), Little Bird, Benjen/Snow and Longclaw.

Most of these cards help gain you power in some way, shape, or form. I chose Ned as my 7 cost character for this deck since it was the choice between the Old Bear and him. I feel Ned is just in a lot better place currently in the game then Mormont is. Plus, Ned's ability with renown can help speed the game along plus protect the wall.

I also chose to run Superior Claim in this deck as I've had several times where my opponent would throw out a chump for a power challenge or chump block Benjen/Ranging Party with Snow backing them up. It helps punish them for these actions and speed the game up. Most of the games I've played with this deck are also normally over by turn 4 or 5.

Overall, I'm going to be playing and tweaking this deck in the coming weeks. I'll do my best to keep it updated with what current version of it I'm running at any given time. Comment if you'd like too. :)

Would this not be better as a No Agenda Deck?

How are you finding games that run past your ideal turn 4-5? I like the rush and tools you’ve given yourself for that plan, but do you find it can stand in a late game situation?

@AlturisHey there, believe it or not this deck can hold it’s own into the late game pretty well. I’ve played several games where I’ve went to about turn 8-10 (Bara Fealty….) and I’ve still managed to pull it off. A lot of games though it’s usually over on turns 4-6.

How does something like this hold up against mass-murdering Greyjoy/Bara decks?

@ZilvakeThanks for the quick response. I actually put this together last night to give it a spin and it was indeed effective. I only managed two games with it though (1 vs Lannister/Targ and 1 vs Greyjoy/Bara with both being wins).

How important do you think the second copy of “Little Bird” is? I know it’s for Ned and it is beneficial; however, you already have 9 characters that have intrigue and if Jon is out he will participate with Ned either way. Would it be better to drop 1 “Little Bird” and grab a 3rd Jon? or any other card potentially if you have a suggestion “Tears of Lys” maybe?

Also why 62 cards?

why did you opt for the raiders?
