Hi there Here is the Martell/stag homebrewed deck, that I took to my second Malmø Regionals, a 14 players tournament. It performed really well and landed me a spot in the finals. Which I lost, due to mistakes on my behalf.

I designed this deck as a part to answer the massive target kill there is in the meta right now, and still win the game through accumulating power in Dominance phase via The Iron Throne, The Boneway and Chamber of the Painted Table.

There is no real centerpiece in the deck, even though there are quite a lot of good characters in the deck, none of them are super important in order to win the game and the deck could survive losing most of the characters.

In the regionals it won against the following decks:

Stark/fealty Lannister/sun Targaryen/sun Lannister/stag Lannister/dragon Targaryen/sun Rematch

Lost to Martell/Lion in a very close fought game, played very skillfully by Per Engström and congrats to him.

Learning experience Here what I learned about the deck after the loss in the final match, A Feast for Crowsis not only a closer to the game, but in some instances should be earlier in the game, to put pressure on your opponent, especially if The Bonewayis in play.

Already knew this, but forgot it in the final. Kill Shireen Baratheon if wildfire is played, even if you´re below 3 characters on the board, that kneel could be crucial.

Fortified Positioncould actually do some work in this kind of deck, since most of the work is done in the dominance phase anyway.

So if you want a Martell deck that is robust, can actually win in 4 or 5 turns this might be it.

You play only one Rattleshirt's Raiders, no plot Confiscation and two Maester Cressen. Didn't You have some problem with opponent's attachment, like Paid Off, or Milk of the Poppy or other?

@Benjen Didn't encounter any issues with negative attachment, because the deck is designed to win in the dominance phase more than in the challenge phase. Maester Cressen and Rattleshirt's Raiders helps getting unwanted Attachment off the board and can both be [Summons] (/card/01022) if the situation is called for that. But I did consider the Confiscation plot but found that I rather wanted two search plot instead and A Feast for Crows instead of.

Congratulations! I have been playing a similar deck for months now because it was fun, but have not had near the success. (Don't know how I missed City Watch!)

What is your priority for Building Orders if you have a choice? Also, No Viper Eyes? Is Nightmares that much better? Thanks.

Thank @Bullroarer Took it was a fun deck to play and really great feeling that you still can win the match even though your characters are being beaten to death and you´re losing challenges. The usual target for Building Orders is either the missing pieces for the dominance tech: The Boneway, The Iron Throne or Chamber of the Painted Table or in worst case a economy location.

As much as I like His Viper Eyes it didn't have a spot in this deck, so Nightmares was chosen for providing more control over problematic locations like Winterfell, Ghaston Grey, The Seastone Chair or The Red Keep. But also against characters to mess up with the opponents gameplan.

Hey, why City Watch over eg Gendry?

hansn 90

@RoflRoy A good question, because I built the deck to prevent Ward from being a treat, it is a rock solid card, but rather wanted City Watch solid stat line and the ability to either ambush them in or be swapped in by Arianne Martell.

How many Tyene-kills did you get and against what opponents? Asking since you arent running the icon removal attachments.

hansn 90

@Ryttareas far as I recall only one kill against Stark and the only time I saw her in all 7 games. Nymeria and Maester Caleotte can take care of the icon removal.

@Benjen3 cards to remove attachments looks like plenty to me. That's the same line-up I usually run in Bara, although after First Snow and Ward I'd be tempted to run 2 Rattleshirts and 1 Cressen

hansn 90

@scantrell24 it would be a sensible choice to switch to 2 Rattleshirt's Raiders and 1 Maester Cressen in a first snow and ward meta, however my reasoning for having Cressen is that I can remove the unwanted conditions before entering the challenge phase.

In what order do you usually play plots woth this deck?

hansn 90

@RDudeIt really is a situational decision. Long plan is usually played first turn, however both Summons and Building order had been used first turn if a crucial piece is missing. Summons; Nymeria, Melisandre, Arianne are usually the target for this plot. Building order; Boneway, Iron Throne or Chamber are the locations I'm looking for, since that's the game winning formular. Feast for crows is either played mid-game or late game. Depend on if the location is put in place or not. But a well timed Feast for crows mid-game can basically stall your opponents challenges, due to the Boneway trigger.

First Snow, Wildfire and Marched is used to reset and replay the Greenblood traders, kill Bastard daughters and Quentyn. Marched, get rid of something nasty.
