I usually play Martell Fealty in tournaments. However, with the Called to Arms chapter pack being legal for the Liberation of Yunkai, it made me want to adapt to coming of a the new meta that might be set by the new agendas which are the Kings of Summer and Kings of Winter.

I was really happy about the summer plots and how they interact with the Kings of Summer. The combination of the two offers a whole lot of gold and I was able to play big non-loyal characters from House Martell that I always wanted play like Harmen Uller and Quentyn Martell. The Martell Knights concept was encouraged by the existence of the Tourney for the King plot (which has the Summer trait). Since Martell doesn't have the same abundance of knights as the Tyrells have, I had to put in the Knighted attachment which made my Nymeria Sand, The Red Viper, and Doran Martell into lovely knights.

Swiss Record: Round 1 - BYE from Qualifiers; Round 2 - Won against Eli Bitong with Greyjoy, Fealty; Round 3 - Won against Kevin Mado with Stark, Fealty; Round 4 - Won against Juancho Saldana with Lannister, Banner of the Wolf

Top 8 Record: Quarterfinals - Won against Kevin Mado with Stark, Fealty ;Semifinals - Won against Kenno Nishioka with Lannister, Banner of the Dragon; Finals - Lost against Jocs Malacaman with The Night's Watch, Kings of Winter

If you have any questions regarding the deck, please ask away. :)

Hi! congrats for your 2nd! why only 2 Ghaston Grey?

no other events (vengeance, Nightmare, tears...)?

any change to improve the deck after the tourney?

@lucarov Thanks! The idea was to do some kind of power rush with superior claim, Knights and Tourney for the King, and the Red Viper. This point was supported by my inclusion of 3 Condemned attachments. The Ghaston Grey that was left out along with other useful events like Vengeance for Elia were removed from the deck since they did not worked well with the concept of the deck (which is to attempt power rush). One thing that I would consider to include in this deck would be the Street of the Sisters since it works very similarly with superior claim. I'm also considering changing one of the plots with Counting Coppers since I usually end up with an empty hand at around Round 4.

Congrats for your 2nd place! How do you deal with Put to the Sword? Any cards you felt you needed? Any that were useless or less useful?

Hi, I like your deck, very interesting take on Martell Summer! What was your experience against NW Winter like? Mine have been awful so far :D

@NikolaPSince this is a rush deck, I thought that I'd just take what my opponent gives me (including being Put to the Sword or being poisoned with Tears of Lys), I'd just take their power and run them over with power surges. Sometimes, there are points when my Dornish Paramours and Attainted worked against each other. My idea of having the Dornish Paramours is to pull big strength characters with intrigue and power icons so that during my power challenges, I'd almost certainly win. Attainted has ruined it a bit and I might consider dropping one or the other. I also want to drop the Bastard Daughters since their strengths are not useful for the goals of the deck.

@Loras TyrellThanks! The Night's Watch Kings of Winter is tough match up for any deck who is not ready to deal with it. During the tournament I was choked all throughout the game and I had no way of recovering since I was top decking since round 3 or 4. However, I believe that the my deck could have survived If I had some luck on having economy cards or maybe having a Counting Coppers in plot deck. Wraiths in their Midst is a big head scratcher since it makes you drop your precious cards due to the low reserve. All in all, I think that a little luck can make any Kings of Summer deck outlast the Night's Watch Kings of Winter deck. :)

@GatilleonSince you want to drop Bastard Daughters, may I suggest you try House Maesters. After all, power icons are most important here, right? How has single Doran Martell worked? It seems that Counting Coppers would be good inclusion, as you left out Greenblood Traders.

Gatilleon 105

@NikolaPYeah, the House Maester may be good as it also gives me some intrigue (which my deck lacks). However, this would also mean that I should maybe reduce the Harmen Uller to a one of. The Doran Martell was a last minute inclusion to replace the Starfall Cavalry. Doran Martell was better (in my opinion), than the Starfall Cavalry since I was able to play Doran early without hesitation. Doran rarely saw play during the tourney itself but I was happy everytime I top deck him specially during rounds 5 and 6 where he is almost always giving a lot of strength bonus to a Martell lord or lady.
