So what was meant to be a rush deck ended up going for 5 rounds throughout the tournament. Deck runs on the idea of bypassing characters with stealth, long ships or other mechanics, to rack up unopposed and the Frey bonuses. This is supported with a couple of 2 claim plots, as well as some seizing the initiative plots like snowed under. Not much else to say rather than in most games despite having 5 card set ups, it was slow to get going as I lost one character early that hampered power gain (because Crown of Goldand Dracarys!).

How do you feel about Battle of Oxcross? If you were to put it in your plot deck, what plot would it replace? |
Was it a problem for you to have Weapons at the Door with 5 positive attachments of your own? |

I play a very similar deck and I have found Battle of Oxcross to be pure gold for Kraken. It helps punch an unopposed challenge first thing to trigger The Seastone Chair, negates downside to first swing of The Lord of the Crossing and guarantees Balon swing unopposed. I would drop Risen from the Sea for We Do Not Sow and drop a plot for Battle of Oxcross. Worth trying out as it is the best plot for Greyjoy other than Rise of the Kraken in my opinion. |
Not a single Lanni matchup? Can I move to your meta? |
Didn't you run into Intrigue-kill problems against Tyene Sand (Martell) / Mirri (Targarian)? |

I played this deck this week at the final week of my local summer league. The deck performed VERY well in my first match against Bara/Winter. I setup with Balon Greyjoy (Core), The Seastone Chair, The Roseroad, and Iron Islands Fishmonger. From that point forward, my opponent was unable to marshal any high-STR characters to contest Balon. By the plot flop on turn 3, my opponent conceded due to having 1 character left on the board (The Seastone Chair) was gobbling characters left and right. Battle of Oxcross was my Turn 3 plot and that's what forced my opponent to concede because he had no way to defend yet another unopposed MIL challenge from Balon. My 2nd game, total opposite. I played against a Bara/Kraken that got Mel up on turn 1. I only saw Asha Greyjoy as my "big" character and she stayed knelt the entire game. Asshai Priestess and Fiery Followers were the all-stars for my opponent as he saw/marshaled one every single turn and was able to protect Melisandre the entire game. This deck is VERY MUCH a rush deck, but as per the Greyjoy curse - it suffers if you do not get your ideal setup. |
Am I crazy, or is there no Pillage in this deck, despite the King attachment? |

Excellent Games man. Your list was solid.
Always a pleasure playing against you.
