Play aggressively focusing on controlling the board. Late summer feast is the most common opener, and giving your opponents cards in many matchups (stark, greyjoy, etc) isn't super relevant if you can permanently hold the board. Blood of the Dragon & Political disaster hit the many locations and weenies in the metagame, and allow for strong unopposed turns with the help of Astapor.

Dany and the dragons provide strong board presence that is resistant to resets due to the presence of fire and blood. Dany is an overall solid character that can easily push through multiple challenges and help with card draw, as well as ward off a lot of 1-2 str attackers while standing. Dracarys deals with the increasing number of str 3 and 4 characters in the metagame, and consuming flames allows more opportunities to burn str 5+ characters combined with a dragon is no slave or Astapor, forcing players to be careful even when there are no standing dragons. A dragon is no slave is powerful for knocking out smaller characters during blood of the dragon turns without them participating in challenges, and also serves as great recurrable discard fodder for Plaza of Pride, Consuming Flames, and Qotho. Punishment was intended to help clear out the board (especially against lanni and nights watch), but could be replaced.
