Poison in Paradise!

I've not got a few of the newer packs (KM, Key,) so missing a few cards I think would work well in this deck - Darkstar, Hellholt and Bastard of Godsgrace. Possibly even Sandystone.

A slightly more non-competitive Melee centric deck with lots of "lose to win" mechanics as you'll often have many challenges directed at you in one round. Boneway is there to soak up loses and release POWER. Dorne for draw. Lingering Venom. Maester of Sunspear to get rid of Bodyguards and Milks. Caleotte for icon removal etc. You get the jist!

Lord of the Crossing can be really easy for Martell to trigger with their icon strip. I've not gone over the top with icon removal but just enough to be able to pick and choose what attacks I can make.

=== Little blurb on card choice ===

Given the recent climate of poisoning, I wanted to bring my favourite Sandsnake back in to the light. Yeah she ain't so hot anymore given the amount of resets but in Melee you're games are lasting 3-4 Plots, if that, and she'll generally be around to kill a few guys. She goes for the big Renown chars.

Lingering Venom is to put some pressure on people deciding whether to let a challenge through, or pump up the poison. It can force a Confiscation out early too which isn't a super plot given what's around now. Especially in a short game.

Tears because YEAH!

VenemousBlade + Shadow City Bastard + Flea Bottom = Chud removal experts. If I had Water Gardens, it would make this even better, but I don't, so I've left it out. Still, for a reasonable amount of Gold (Really good if you can set up with a Bastard, if you can, it's going to cost 7G in total to double poison/icon strip - bring the VB in marshalling to kill one chud before challenges, then military attack first, then bring in the 2nd VB if they have chuds remaining after mil claim) you can have 2 5cost chars stripped of icons and 2 chuds killed with poison. In my head, it's awesome. Melee can get chud heavy due to needing to attack/defend so much so this can punish, also it kills Bran. I hate Bran.

Vengeance for the laughs of being able to redirect claim to other players who have bad board states or redirect attacks. Makes you enemy #1 pretty quickly though.

Spearmaiden for the odd 3rd challenge shenanigans with Arianne. She's quite out of favour (so many awesome Martell cards now) but I love the art and the pressure she puts when she's on the board.

Ellaria is useful for when other players put you first (as often happens in Melee with Martell) so you can really punish someone with kneeling their board out. She also triggers losing most of the time (unless you trigger it on chuds?!). Great first challenger for LOTC too (maybe not against Targ!). If I had Hellholt she'd be incredible because you're going to lose by 5 strength easily on the attack.

Overall, just a good fun deck in which you can take out plenty of guys, do some trickery and what not. Push for the power bonus from LOTC and soak up loses with Boneway to try and trigger at least twice.

P.S I'VE NOT PLAYED THIS DECK YET!!! Purely theory.
