Still with the original idea of trying out the new card from Wolves of the North and going more for the rush/sacrifice theme than "murder" template.
This to my mind requires enough low cost characters to die/sacrifice effects and in general enough to maintain decent board position. So probably at least 36 characters?
So far in general:
(1) Eddard Stark is great and with any other big character can rack up pwr very quickly. He is vulnerable to Bara kneel (even with Rob) and you want to use him multiple times any way if you can. For now I have one Seal of the Hand but may go back to two.
(2) Catelyn Stark is a lot of fun. I seldom ended up with less than at least 4 power on her. You could potentially wildfire for the win and there are some nice little small combos with her ability. Everyone's however seem to prefer playing core cat - for good reason - so I am thinking of either dropping her, or maybe playing with a core version too...
(3) I have not seen The Blackfish a lot since in over 10 games. So hard to judge, but another extra renown is good for Fast Eddie.
(4) Plots: I think there are a lot of options here and still a fair amount of tweaking needed based on play testing. Originally went all out winter plots, but decided to settle on more conservative / tested plots. I am happy with this, but there is certainly room for more creative / dedicated strategy plots. Playing core Cat will probably also lead to one less 5 econ plot.
(5) Attachments. Not sure about the right balance here...so few slots really with the high character count. Frozen Solid is very nice and you can add Lady for sure at the cost of a character or Nymeria. I have seen Nymeria Sand on Catelyn Stark before and that really hurt.
(6) Events. Again, I am trying to play here with some of the new themes than with the conventional stark build stuff. That means giving Arya's Gift and Winter Is Coming a go. Wolf Dreams is really just there for Grey Wind and Nymeria.
Flexible spots I feel is definitely your attachments, Cat core vs Cat WotN and deciding to drop a card here and there to make room for one Winterfell which I have seen can be a handful if played during setup.
