Rules FAQ

  • A card with shadow is any card that has the shadow keyword, whether printed or gained. If a card has the printed shadow keyword but its text box is blanked, that card is not considered to be a card with shadow.

  • Paying X gold is part of the cost, so it will still be paid if the event is canceled. (See Costs.)

  • Abilities that reduce the cost to play an event will reduce the gold cost of Clever Feint (which is already 0). They will not reduce the additional cost of X.

  • X is determined by the number of cards you intend to return to shadows. You cannot choose X to be higher just to spend more gold (for instance, from a character with Slander and Lies attached).

  • If you choose a card you control but do not own, it will go to its owner's shadows area instead. (See Ownership and Control.)
