Thank you. I appreciate the insite. I’ve only played a few games with one core set So don’t really have a feel for the game mechanics really. I see where you are going with maximizing the kneel trigger. I’ll certainly work this deck using your advice and see how it plays out. The links again |
Stuff I’d add: I’d add another Melisandre, another Fiery Followers, and another Seen In Flames, two more The Red Keep, and 3 Dragonstone Faithful. This maximizes your r’hollr kneel potential, increases the chances of hitting your draw engine, and adds the only non-limited cost reducer available to Baratheon. More copies of The Hound, if you have the Stannis lock going the ability to bounce him back to your hand for the cost of 1 card is pretty phenomenal. That’s like getting to stand an extra character a turn.
Swaps I’d make: 3 x Lannisport Merchant for 3 x Lannisport Moneylender, as the Merchants are cheaper and again, not limited. 2 x Seal of the Hand for 2 x Chamber of the Painted Table and 1 x Consolidation of Power for an The Iron Throne. I’d also try and add in some Support of the People in order to get any of my missing critical locations into play.
Finally, stuff I’d just drop: Renly Baratheon, he’s overcosted (even with having all 3 icons) and you’re not running enough out of faction stuff for him to be all that great, 2 x Selyse Baratheon as you’ll likely not use her ability. 1 x Shireen Baratheon, as you want her to die so having duplicates isn’t that great. 1 x The Tickler, he’s cheap and very likely to end up as claim fodder so it’s generally not a great idea to run duplicates of him.
I’d consider swapping out Confiscation with Here to Serve as it’ll let you fetch and play Maester Cressen on demand, essentially serving the same purpose but netting you an extra 3 gold in the process. I’d also consider swapping out A Game of Thrones with another Filthy Accusations. Any serious intrigue faction will likely be able to pull off the challenge while you might struggle to do so. The only other thing I’d consider is trying to find another plot to swap out for A Noble Cause. You have lots of expensive Lords and Ladies and it’d be nice to be able to afford Robert Baratheon when you have him in hand!
