This deck is not built to be competitive, but fun. I've had moderate success with this deck at my local gaming store. This was before House of Thorns and some time ago now, this is just another reiteration of an old idea.

When the Core Set was released one card really stood out for me by design and artwork. That card was Joffrey Baratheon (Core) I knew I wanted to build a deck around him and terrorise everyone I played against. In Melee he really shines, but in Joust, not so much. That was until his blushing bride to be came along Margaery Tyrell (AMAF). When she was released this idea came to mind. All of a sudden my deck amplified to a semi competitive level, The Boy King was a thing and my Nedlyness flourished! Until the Stark's upset me with a card that really was just unfair. Ward was now a thing in all Stark decks and my wonderful sadistic little king was no longer loyal to me.

But in the darkness came light and Blessed by the Maiden has been released! I can bless the sadistic guy! No Ward for me!

As for strategy, simply get Marge and Joff on the field and murder everyone who is a Lord and Lady and reap the benefits, this includes your own Lords and Ladies! I mean you get rewarded for it. Many a time I've finished a game by Wildfiring my own board and racking up the power on Joffrey Baratheon (Core). Watch out for Kingslayer.

I don't think you can play blessed by the maiden on a warded character, as you don't technically control that character you only own that character.

@Acloakofred Apologies, I didn't make it clear. The Idea is to pre-emptively play Blessed by the Maiden on Joffrey Baratheon (Core) so they can not Ward him :)

Do you think that this deck could be competitive if it was optimised more, and updated to the latest releases? I think Red Wedding, Summons or King in the North are some potential inclusions. I definitely would remove Name Day Tourney, since you only have 7 Knights.

@KhosroTheGreatQuite possibly! The last time I played this deck was before House of Thorns, the last legal pack at the time was the Brotherhood without Banners. I see your point about Name Day Tourney. It is very important to see Margaery and Joffrey. So Summons would be a good include, perhaps even Red Wedding, like you said. Just be careful to not get them 2 killed!

If you want to save Joffrey Baratheon (Core) from cards like Crown of Gold and Dracarys! Feel free to add Widow's Wail in there somewhere! He can be surprisingly annoying at 5 str and Mil and Pow icons!
