Friendly Open Beginners deck: House Targaryen Aloof And Apart.

Difficulty: Easy to Medium.

Plots: First plot should be At the Gates and search for Great Hall.

Followed by A City Besieged.

Third plot will be a second A City Besieged or Political Disaster.

Use Close Call to revive one of your big guys. Ideally, if you get a Big Character (6+ Cost), that's dead after draw, use Close Call to revive it next round (situational, sometimes you just need a draw, then Close Call also can be used.

Valar Morghulis to reset if needed.

Nothing Burns Like The Cold to get rid of bad attachments/locations.

Setup: You should mulligan for one limited location, one 1 cost character and one big guy (dont't setup Jaqen H'ghar, since his reaction doesn't apply when put in setup).

Matchup specifics: Against Baratheon , Queensguard helps a lot, so looking for it or the Gifts for the Widow (which can be used to search for Queensguard. When using Gifts for the Widow search for 3 cost attachment!)

Against Night's Watch, play the big dragons (Viserion, Drogon and Rhaegal), because of no negative attachment's can be put on them.

Against Martell, Daario Naharis is normally very usefull, especially against the raiders.

Against Targaryen Burn (Burn: an archetype which is found here: Targaryen Fealty by Robert Chervat), play the The Hand's Judgment at the right time (cancelling a big burn effect), plus play the big dragons because they are not easy to burn (because of great strenght).

Against Greyjoy, Lannister, Tyrell, and so on: Viserion with A Pinch of Powder (explained how to used in bottom of post), helps a lot. This is a fairly straight forward deck which is based on winning challenges. A Pinch of Powder is put into shadows at marshalling phase (2 gold cost), and is played from shadows after defenders been declared (in a challenge you are winning by 5 or more str.), and put on one of the main characters the opponent owns. That character will then be returned to his or her hand :)

This deck is by Reinhard Schefcik which is considered to be the greatest Targaryen player of all time. Dragon egg ?? Advisor to the crown ?

Zinnie 23

Dragon Egg is for draw, and Advisor to the Crown is for enabling setting up big characters (to avoid Marched to the Wall hitting something important), and claim soak. :)

In my opinion Dragon Egg is to expensive for only draw effects. And a second Brown Ben Plumm is for me better than Advisor to the Crown.

Dragon Egg is essential for Queensguard characters.

I'd add a 2nd Brown Ben Plumm (a second copy isn't always a dead card if he is already discard) or 3rd Viserys over Advisor to the Crown. Also, duplicates on setup mean you would draw more cards.
