The deck was build to counter most of the played Lanni builds, without the expansion in the meta. Attained and Nymeria make sure you end up winner of the intrigue exchanges, rendering some of their mechanics useless. Does pretty well against Crossing decks, since it can shut down their int icons completely. The deck excels with small boards so it is crucial to push it there - every game tested (50+) found First snow, claim and marched to be more than enough and Wildfire not needed. Against other Lanni players you usually end up with much more favorable position after first snow, since banner adds 2 high impact characters and Nymeria is a diamond in these situations. Confiscation is played early only if Nym is blanked, A Game of Thrones usually completely locks down opponents, but its too valuable for an opener. Also try and save Pentoshi until you demolish enemy's hand. Greyjoy is the only bad match up.
Went 6-1 in swiss falling in the last round against Targ/Crossing - a favorable match up, but the opponent had a great start I had none of my power characters and 3 dragons with dupes made my comeback impossible. Lost my top 32 game against a Lanni/Crossing. Opponent started with Tyrion and Duped Tywin, drew into many more 4+ costers in the following rounds. Not drawing into key characters made sure I couldn't stop or slow down the opponent from making 2-3 power per turn, thanks to Tywin's renown. Drew into Nym 5th round which was already too late.
Overall verdict for the deck: Reactive, with a lot of tactical options. Flexible. Hard to master. Very effective in the pre-WotN meta.
