Went 7-1 on the day. Winterfell and Renown did most of the hard work. Thanks to everyone for making it a fun day, and the TO (Murdoch) for being so thorough with deck checks, pairings, and running a smooth event.
No report, but a few memorable moments:
- Got Warded 3x by Martell-Wolf in my loss, including Cat on a first snow turn. I played into that one - ouch!
- Got a super-lucky win against Bara in Swiss - needed to topdeck Jon Snow to turn on the Rob stand machine. Drew 3 cards (with Gates) out of 30, needed 1 of the 2 left in the deck to win.
- Stark mirror in T8, he had Winterfell which was stopping my mil triggers for 3 turns. Built up to first snow turn, rattleshirts finally kills his Ice, I trigger my Ice, Winter is coming, get to 4 power on Blackfish with fast eddie.
If I were to change anything, I would try to find room for a Summons again, though the Close Call was really really good today. Also, since Rattleshirt is so key in the mirror match and against Martell maybe try to find room for a second - hard to find room though, and against some decks it's a dead card.
