Another Lanister Kraken deck, again nothing special.
Iron Mines for the saves, Asha for Asha, less Theon because of ward and Lordsport Shipwrights because of Winterfel and to be mean to people with the kingsroad.
A few other odd pieces: Bronn really funny but I don't think I can handle the stress of playing him. Best play with him all day was Marshal turn one/two. Milk him the next turn since I couldn't be sure I could keep control of him and First snow him back to hand the next turn before playing him again after that.
Ser Ilyn Payne. This guy is great, I'm sure its been said before but he really is. Keeps board thin, gets rid of some annoying characters (Dragons, Unsworn Apprentice and lots of others) keeping their board thin even if they rebuild from first snow.
Round 1: Stark Fealty
I made some dumb mistakes in this (not doing an unoposed military with asha and doing power instead duh) as well as a bunch of other triggers. Was still a fun game though.
Round 2: Nights Watch Fealty
Setup Tywin Lannister, Reducer and Roseroad against a first turn Old Bear with Raven. Was quite hairy to start as I couldnt deal with Old Bear or get enough characters on the board to prevent him firing but Confiscating him Raven and killing him with Tears and using first snow to clear the board next turn helped. Again Ilyn Pain here was amazing, he kept Maester Aemon down the whole game and left all the heavy hitters exposed to military and Tears.
Round 3: Greyjoy Crossing
Lack of stealth on his setup helped me immensely and with Tyrion Lannister and Brothel Madame on the board it meant I had plenty of money and time to get setup with. But eventually get got Asha on the board with Damphair and an Ironthrone which made killing people very tricky. Later it got to the point where I couldn't military or he could killed a Milked Euron and return him at the end of turn. First snow won this game setting him back Damphair and chumps for a turn which left Asha to be killed and let me rush ahead in renown. Was a great game that was very close to swinging either way.
Round 4: Lanister Fealty
This game was going to suck. Seem like it would suck even more when we both setup Tywin and a Reducer. But first turn getting out Tyrion to his Cersi game me enough of an edge constantly being able to drop Treacery and Hands Judgement to cancel his tricks let me slowly grind out the game. Was entertaining considering both playing Marched first turn to see what would happen but we both wussed out of it!
Elimination Round 1: Targaryn Crossing https://thronesdb.com/decklist/view/5309/blood-of-my-blood-the-khalasar-rides-6th-place-irish-regi-1.0
This deck finished sixth and is great fun to play against. Bloodrider Khal Drogo deck. Setup brought him Drogo and a chump or two while I got Madame and Tyrion. Tyrion got crowned right off the bat but Madame kept him too poor to be able to setup and make use or Drogo. Byt the time he got setup with Bloodrider gang Tywin Jamie and the Mountain hit the table and had pushed out renown too far. Another great game and a really fun deck to play against!
Elimination Round 2: Greyjoy Fealty
Another Greyjoy game. I remember less of this game, mostly remember being shit scared or getting wiped out. Had to wait to draw out a good First Snow turn so I could kill and March Asha and Balon even though it meant taking a double march leaving me only with Tywin(hah only) but was able to push it out from there. Greyjoy are still scary when played well.
Elimination Round 3: Stark Fealty
Same deck as round 1. I lost again but played better. I first turn summon Tywin and he building orders an Ice. Being too much of a wuss I put down Jamie in the hope I can clear out his board some rather then risk Arya Ice coming out and killing Tywin since I couldnt play both him and an Iron Mines. Turns out he never had Ayra in hand! Game also reminded me of how useful Jamie is for just killing and grabbing renown. Between himself and the Mountain they kept me going for quite a while (admittedly he didn't see a single renown character for a long long time). Was a fun game to finish out the day despite losing!
I think if I played this again I'd cut some of the control bits and Bronn and definitely try get in another Ilyn, hes just great. Iron mines are also just a useful card, nothing fancy about them but they do a lot of work and make it difficult for your opponent to get anywhere with straight killing.
really cool ideas with blank and location control strategy. A little lack of draw Imo
