Tweak of a prior Martell/Bara deck I ran that relied more on kneel, but was just too inconsistent. The changes implemented now focus on dominance in addition to the standard Martell strategy of icon control. (The main additions to get to this build were Chamber of the Painted Table and The Iron Throne of course, Gendry, City Watch and Maester Cressen, which replaced confiscation in the plot deck so I could add A Feast for Crows)
First time out I went 4-0 in casual play, getting a good mix of the best of both cards in three of the games. It was the 4th game that made me realize I might actually be on to something however. Playing against Stark fealty I got Fiery Followers, Painted Table and Cressen out on set up, with Tyene in my hand. For plots went Long Plan into First Snow (Had Knights of the Sun and Spearman out by then) then pulled a Throne with Building orders. From that point it was win dominance, which after Gendry hit the board, amounted to 4 power each turn with Knights of Sun gaining renown (6 with Feast for Crows) and it was game over in short order. Seen in Flames was the MVP as I drew all three and got rid of a Rob and Fast Eddie before they hit the board. Tears and Milk also kept things controlled until I got the train rolling.
Now the reason I am really happy with this deck is I never saw any of Martell's heavy hitters in this game. No Nymeria, no Vengeance for Elia and Tyene sat in my hand the entire game, plus I never saw a Melisandre. Hopeful that this will hold at the upcoming Store Championship this month.
