Just thinking about deck ideas and maybe this could be interesting. Essentially the idea is to passively gain power, but still have the option for total blowouts. I would love some thoughts on this deck and any input more experienced players can provide.
Key points:
- Dominance (Gendry, Painted Table, Iron Throne)
- Out of challenge abilities (Heads on Spikes, Sansa, Riverrun, Riverrun Minstrel)
- Challenge mechanics (Eddard, Street of Sisters, Superior Claim)
Essentially the plan is to build the board with as much power as possible passively. This deck can play defensively and hopefully win the attrition game, but it has the potential for a full blowout in a single power challenge.
The perfect power challenge would be Sneak Attacked Eddard, Blackfish, Catelyn , and Barristan with Rivverun in play and superior Claim + Winter is Coming in hand. This combination would be 10 power in a single successful challenge.
Other Tid Bits: Barristan seems natural in this deck as he can attack or block challenges, stand to save the key characters, then also add to dominance.
The ability to instantly win the game via Marshaling Riverrun Minstrel with Riverrun and/or Heads on spikes is nice if you fall short by a few power and the opponent stabilizes.
Arya and Davos are there to try and push +5 challenges when you need them for Superior Claim and Support of the People.
