Concept deck. Keep the board small (double Wildfire) and neutralize what's left (negative attachments).

The double Wildfire requires planning around the entire game, but you know it's coming and the opponent won't (in a tournament). Did you play against the same opponent each time? Steward at the Wall is basically there for claim soak and setup, but I agree it's not optimal. Regarding Unsworn Apprentice, I'm trying to stay away from 3 gold characters, as they're vulnerable to First Snow and Ilyn Payne. Castle Black is gone for either Iron Throne or Boneway. A couple Tears are definitely in the running. |
I've run this thrice now, twice against Baratheon Fealty and once against Greyjoy crossing. I lost one of the Baratheon games but won the other two.
I think the basic idea of this deck is pretty good. The addition of Craven makes all the nasty Martell tricks even worse.
Couple of thoughts:
I don't like the double wildfire at all. I found myself wishing it was a different plot in every game. A First Snow would let you continue the "small board" theme, and also you'd get the great First Snow into Marched combo.
Steward at the Wall is fairly useless. You don't have enough NW characters to really make them effective as reducers. It's nice to get the extra intrigue icons, but you don't really need them. Unsworn apprentices are probably a better use of the slot.
I have issues with Castle Black, for much the same reason. It came up in my hand in all three games, but I never wanted to play it. Not sure what I'd put in here instead. Maybe a second D.Edd? He's amazing and you want to see him every game. Or at least I did.
I also found myself wishing for some Tears of Lys, because this deck has a ton of intrigue. Add Nymeria's icon removal and it would be really scary. I'm not sure where you'd find room, though.
