Played this to a 5-0 in a local tournament. Matchups where:

  • Lannister/Targaryen
  • Martell/Greyjoy
  • Stark/Fealty (Stark48)
  • Stark/Fealty (Fat cat variant with some events and attachments)
  • Targaryen/Summer

I was really lucky to win the last (Targaryen Summer) round since I topdecked a Put to the Sword with Arry that managed to play on Drogo later that turn and rode the advantage from there. Note that I have completely forgotten to include Syrio Forell who was really needed all day. Probably will drop a Tears of Lys for him.

Initially I included Take the black as well, but there are too many uniques that need to be taken care of before cutting the edges. Put to the Sword was the clear winner, and I wouldn't mind a 3rd copy.

On some cards:

  • No Gregor: Too much gold for me, no way to protect him.
  • No Treachery: Last minute call, since my unique Lannister count isn't that big.
  • Ser Illyn Payne is money. Could use a second copy.
  • Shae is also amazing
  • Muster the Realm was the best part of the deck. I always used it as an opener, save one game against Stark that I opened with Summer Harvest to hit his Pentoshi.

I like to see that my deck inspired u and did so well on tournament. Nice variant with more rangers (Old Forest Hunters can be very usefull with enough card draw) and less unique Lannisters. Missing Treachery can be a problem maybe u could add two copies of Nightmarres instead. It is not only defensive card it is often offensive (to Winterfell, Ghaston, bypassing stealths etc.). Ilyn is very usefull in the middle game. Two copies are worthy. Gregor at my deck was often only a finisher. One copy was maximum. Shae is nice addition can help a lot with power gain and not losing a power. At least one copy of Syrio is needed. He helps with PttS and two claims plots and later also with power gain to close tight games. Ghost is the same story. I would not leave Tears out of a deck. I am using it also on small chars like reducers just to hold opponent board tin. How Will worked for u? Did u have a trable to defende him.

I agree on all your points, and I'd probably add 2 Nightmares and a Tears. Syrio is obviously a must have in one copy.

Will wasn't really good. I could protect him when I played him, but couldn't always play him immediately because of board state. Apparently he will be the one to be fired.

Ideally I would end up with 2 Nightmares, 2 PttS and 2 Tears.
