Intrigue challenges get you cards, they get you power, they allow you to use some surprises. Do them twice every turn and watch Cersei and her favourite right hand man wreck face. Comments welcome.

Cersei has some Nightmares for sure after all that happend to her. Either that, or Winterfell will completely shut down your intrigue responses. Without Winter plots, you cannot trigger anything including your Agenda if Winterfell is used. I suppose you could rely on the second intrigue challenge allowed by Casterly Rock. But still. Nightmares is such a good card in other matchups, too.

Not something ive had experience with playing against in my meta. Point well made. Nightmares will certainly always have value, but is less permanent than Pyromancers burning the place down. That would allow the character event balance to go unchanged.

A really good idea, I love it! :)

@AegonTargaryenIn my opinion, Winterfell will not stop Castamere triger, because agendas are not in play. :)

From the Winterfell card page:

Winterfell prevents opponents from triggering card abilities, but it does not prevent occurrences mandated by the game, like "Forced Reactions", "Forced Interrupts", and "When Revealed". Likewise, as it only affects card abilities, it does not affect duplicates, which are defined as a triggered game ability. Finally, it only prevents triggered abilities, so it does not prevent anything that lacks a boldface precursor (e.g. keywords like Ambush or Renown, and constant abilities). However, it does stop pretty much everything else, including events. Since the limitation Winterfell places is on the player, not the cards themselves, it's not "restricted" to only affecting cards in play.

if Chella Daughter of Cheyk win a challenge, then revaled wildfire cuz castamere, counting those killed charaktor with Cheyk "killed during a challenge in which Chella Daughter of Cheyk is attacking", and add tokens?

@Ruhrgebieti cant see why that wouldnt work, nothing obvious jumps out at me. It would be at the D of DUCK and shes attacking.

@AegonTargaryenFrom the rules reference: Card abilities only interact with, and can only target, cards that are in play, unless the ability text specifically refers to an out of play area or element. Card abilities on characters, locations, and attachments can only be initiated or affect the game from an in play area unless they specifically refer to being used from an out of play area, or require that the card be out of play for the ability to resolve. Event cards and agenda cards implicitly interact with the game from an out of play area, as established by the rules of their cardtypes.

@Gerion Lannister No. Winterfell and Catelyn Stark prevent THE PLAYER from triggering Rains of Castamere.

Here is Ktoms explanation:

[Winterfell and] Catelyn doesn't stop abilities from triggering. She stops players from triggering card abilities. The fact that the Agenda isn't in play doesn't matter because Catelyn isn't interacting directly with it.

Essentially, she can stop an opponent from triggering Rains of Castamere just like she can stop an opponent from triggering events (which are never in-play, either).

@AegonTargaryenOk, you're right. That was also my question to which ktom answered. :)
