This is the deck that I ran yesterday for the Store Championship in Lemont, IL.
There were 14 players in the tournament. We ended up playing 4 rounds of swiss with a cut to top 4.
I have already begun to tweak it, but it ran really well in a pretty diverse meta. Ended up coming back from behind in two very close games, but ended up losing in the final to a rematch from one of the swiss rounds. Games below:
Game 1 - Win
- Lannister Rains (Deck ended up coming in 4th overall)
Game 2 - Win
- Baratheon Fealty (Deck ended up coming in 6th overall)
Game 3 - Win
- Lannister Rains (Deck ended up coming in 5th overall)
Game 4 - Win
- Baratheon Fealty (Deck ended up coming in 1st overall)
Semifinal - Win
- Martell Fealty
Final - Loss
- Baratheon Fealty (opponent from round 4 of swiss)
Opening was typically the Wraiths in Their Midst. Depending on what plot they had and board state, it could be immediately followed up with a heads on spikes or an Early Frost for extra pressure.
Valar is a key play, and it's really important to play it correctly. I ended up losing the final game because I valared to kill a new Stannis and reset the board, but ended up saving the wrong character on my side. He was able to put a bobby out the same turn, and I couldn't get back into it after that. Had I saved the correct character (fiskwhiskers) I think the result would have been different. It was an incredibly close game against a good opponent. All the players were friendly and I think most everyone had a good time.
We do not sow is a key card in the deck also, with my bounty from the day being at 2x Harrenhal, 2x Tower of the hand, 1x Painted table, 2x Red Keep, 2 or 3 milks, and a Martell negative attachment. People never seem to wanna defend intrigue challenges from Greyjoy. Another turn I was able to get off a we do not sow and a put to the sword on the same turn with Balon.

were captains daughters worth the slots?
