This is the first deck I've published but I've found it to be very successful and would like to share it with the community. Harrenhal (FFH) and Roose Bolton were made for each other and I couldn't resist pairing them up. So I took a look at a couple of the Lannister Clansman and Lannister Rains decks that played around Harrenhal (FFH) and then wedged in a tiny bit of wolf.
I opted for Bran Stark because he is a cheap young wolf that deters events. The other young wolf Rickon Stark is a cheap 1 cost character that can stop Summons and Building Orders. Ward is a solid wolf attachment that allows for board control and pairs nice with Marched to the Wall. Frozen Solid found it's way in for location hate and of course good ole Roose Bolton rounds out the wolf banner.
I really like the pressure from hand that Tyrion Lannister (LoCR) and his clansmen provide, when paired with Harrenhal (FFH). I've found that you can pull various shenanigans bouncing clansmen in and out of your hand, raising claim or drawing cards. I think have fallen in love with Chella Daughter of Cheyk and it has to be a bit scary facing Timett Son of Timett and Roose Bolton on either a or challenge. Moon Brothers and Burned Men are both very mobile and when you don't have Tyrion Lannister (LoCR) out they are expendable.
The Hound should be staple in every Harrenhal (FFH) deck and I'm considering removing Ser Gregor Clegane with a 3rd copy but the Mountain can swing games with a single swing so I'm hesitant to do so. I like Cersei Lannister (Core) because of the pressure she can put out but I know she is replaceable and I'm also thinking of dropping a Frozen Solid for Osha but right now there is a need for location hate!
Plots. A Noble Cause is for Tywin Lannister (Core) and Tyrion Lannister (LoCR). Building Orders will find you Harrenhal (FFH) but can also get Frozen Solid or Ward in a pinch if needed. Confiscation and Counting Coppers are both self explanatory. I like The First Snow of Winter both to return cheap clansmen to hand and to reset NW character spam. Marched to the Wall is always fun after Ward. Summons is to find a need character but I'm looking forward to trying out Ghosts of Harrenhal or Battle of Oxcross
Like I've mention this is the first deck I've published and looking forward to any feedback. Good hunting.

Thanks Grinsill, let me know how it goes for you. I'm still tinkering with it but I really like the core concept. |
I like the idea of having characters jumping in and out. Another thing to think about is adding needle. works well bran or even roose bolton...get multiple uses out of them. also I really like the isle of raven card so you can put back the cards you need into your deck. I have a store championship next week and still trying to figure out what to play...I might give this a test run. ill post any changes I make if you wanted to see. Thanks! |
Adding #needle is an interesting idea @dfaust However the Stark restriction hurts. That said I've toyed with the idea of a second #widow's wail. #Isle of Ravens is a fun card and being able to recycle #Roose Bolton is appealing. I've removed #summons in favor of #ghost of harrenhal and I like it. Bouncing in the Mountain or Tywin or Tyrion for a challenge phase then flipping into Ghosts to bring them back is actually a lot of fun. Interested to here how the deck does for you and best of luck in your store championship! |
It looks like a fun deck!
