This is the deck I built for a small store championship where I was 4-0. I've been working on it for a while now and this is the current version. Wins were against Greyjoy, Martell x2, and Targ/kraken.

I was determined to play with some new cards, including the much maligned Tyrions Chain. The deck is surprisingly fast. The first three games were over on turn 3. The final was won in plot phase turn four where spikes and cersei claimed three power.

The cards like the chain and Tarred Heads are intended to strip the hand. Spikes x2 accomplishes this as well and, combined with the chain, it can actually gather power quickly.

I did not use any roseroads as an experiment and to keep the neutral count down. I was pleasantly surprised with Golden Tooth and especially the ability to get 1-3 gold after taxation to carry over to plot phase and into marshaling phase or beyond. With fealty, Golden Tooth is more reasonable and something I will consider in the future for Lanni.

Other versions of the deck included Small Council Chamber, but Sea Bitch made it too risky and the deck seemed fast enough already. I also dropped relentless assault as it conflicted too much with fealty.

This is a work in progress. I imagine Bara can slow things down for you, but it's still possible to do multiple intrigue challenges and cersei still gains power. It's likely not a great matchup, though.

I'm open to any suggestions to help making it better. Let me know if you take it for a test run and if it was fun for you! Fair warning: Spikes, the chain, and tarred heads won't make you any friends. The Spikes claimed many victims this day!

Big THANK YOU to clu for helping me test the deck and providing valuable advice.

Have you considered running The Lord of the Crossing over fealty?

MeatLoafX 22

I haven't, but I could easily see that as a possibility. I think you would need to adjust the neutral count and reconsider cards like Golden Tooth. This deck is tight on gold already. I will say that the deck appears to be quite fast, even in fealty, as I often can win on turn three. I definitely think an intrigue heavy crossing deck - perhaps with relentless assault? - could work. I would be curious if losing fealty would be too much of an income hit. Those Heads on Spikes at 4 gold can be difficult to work with..l. I often needed the added fealty boost (and it was also fun to bluff by kneeling for fealty in the challenge phase when there was nothing to play.) Golden Tooth is a tricky card - if you simply subbed the roseroads, you'd need to drop some other neutrals.
It's a deck I'm going to continue to play around with in some form - hand destruction is great in a valar meta because people quickly realize that they can't survive if they played valar with no hand. It also opens up the opportunity to play it yourself in the right build.
Let me know if you try crossing and I will post again if I play it!

Nice deck. Glad to see someone trying Tyrions Chain - how are you finding that card?

What do you think of Stag, Rose or Kraken Banners with this build? Stag for Seen in Flames and Motley, Rose for knights/ladies or Kraken just because it is good right now.

I really liked Tyrions chain. Obviously it was great with spikes, but I liked the option of a mid challenge re-wildfire, especially since I had cards like The House or the Queens Assassin to jump in.

I would be interested to hear if a banner works well. I don't think motley is great as once they have no cards... and that happens fast... it's not anything. Seen in flames and a kneel package could be great, though!

I really like the more control option with Banner of the Sun, however, having seen this thing go, I love it's explodibility. I know Meatloaf will be looking into Relentless Assault. The Queen's Assassins didn't seem to work out like we thought. Just for food for other's folks thoughts, I pushed for adding Teana Merryweather x2, Tyrion's Chain x1, I Never Bet Against My Family x3, Isle of Ravens x1, and Reinforcements plot. While this is a super fun wrinkle to help dig for useful characters (mostly Tyrion himself) the overall power level didn't seem to compare to what Meatloaf decided on. Just some insight into the thought process for folks!

INBAMF requires a faction kneel so that might not work well in fealty. Reinforcements would be cool but it seems to me you only have Tyrion as a decent Target - unless you banner Sun.

Clu 250

Yeah, Lanni has plenty of options for using their house card as a resource. I like Meatloaf's decision to use fealty in favor of economy and reliability and to get full value out of Golden Tooth. If you choose not to, both relentless and INBAMF work well with the deck theory and you can cut Tarred Heads and switch over to Crossing agenda.
