Actually got around to playtesting this last night... and it worked much better than I had anticipated. The plots do a great job keeping people locked down, and Frozen Solid can trump an opposing iron throne/painted table. Boneway catches up to their first few unopposed turns. I ended up playing Greyjoy and 2 baratheon players. Greyjoy burned 3 locations with we do not sow right out of the gates. I was able to stall long enough to play the 3rd building orders to find the 3rd iron throne. Once that happened, I won shortly thereafter. Against baratheon, I learned that ward on Ser Davos is pretty good. I was able to find enough frozen solids to keep his iron throne dead for most of the game (through confiscation). Master Cresson is tough in the matchup. Second Baratheon player ended up getting iron throne and just had more force than me. Never saw mine and was sad. Cards I was least pleased with: Motley: It doesn't really hurt someone to not attack. Its kinda dead. Dragonstone port: There's no cards that make money Prince's Pass: I never got value from this, but I may just be variance Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken: The only challenge that matters is blue. They just do that first. |
very very interesting! I love the concept and seriously hope that it gets more support.
