This deck is based around Muster the Realm. I like the idea of using armies over unique characters to beat your opponent. My first choice was obviously the Night’s Watch Ranging Party. 4 cost and 5 strength makes it the perfect combo of cost for raw power. I decided to pass on Stark and Baratheon because of the single icon. Not crazy about Gold Cloaks for the Lannisters. The Targs Unsullied make a good case for being the other army, I might make that deck some other time. That leaves the Greyjoys and Tyrells with location boosted armies. I chose the Tyrells for intrigue icons in cheap characters. And of course, Wildling Horde was added because I have no other reason to kneel my faction card, might as well get an army who I can make 7 strength.
I added Varys for board clear if I fall behind. Then I added Marching Orders to have the abiliy to easily play 2 armies after a Varys or Wildfire Assault board clear (3 if I have a kingsroad and the cards in hand). Paxter was added for extra gold, but he would be the first I would ditch to add more events if play testing convinces me the economy of this deck turns out to be fine. Every other character was added based on cost and icons.
The other plots I’m a bit unsure of. Wildfire Assault was added as a back up if I fall behind and don’t have a Varys. I added A Clash of Kings because I feel this deck is ripe for going all out on power challenges. Not really sold on either of those or Calling the Banners.
My ultimate goal is to have a couple armies and back up characters out and then use Olenna’s informant and Muster the Realm to make huge swings in power or kills a bunch of characters. Lemme know what you think.
