A lot of people have asked me for this list so I am doing the community a favor and posting it. Sorry to unleash this upon the world of AGOT!
So this deck's strategy is to do nothing, play the wall, and win several turns later.
I think there is this trick you can do if you have Aemon, opponent has Valar, and you have a Marriage Pact on their guy. Basically, Aemon saves a guy, then you sacrifice him to the Pact before he dies, so then you can fish out your other copy on a later turn.
Not a ton of play notes really - I find it best if you can dupe Jon or Half Hand and have a Aemon in play, as this guarantees 2 of your guys live through a Valar.
IDK if this deck is still good. Probably still crushes big guy decks, but does not have much draw power so these goofy Varys Giants decks might be a problem.
The regionals was at MISTER NICE GUY GAMES in pittsburgh. I had played various games here before, and they always give a COOKIE CAKE to the event winner. I had come very close previously - including top 4 last year at agot regionals, and losing in the finals of a magic PTQ a few years ago. Anyway, I was trying to grab that brass ring this time.
Anyway I had some lucky matchups at the regionals: rd 1 - used SC bye rd 2 - got paired down to a Targ since we had odd # of jousters. They played out almost whole hand so I went all in on INT to kill the rest of their hand. They drew all econ off the top but no guys to play out. Win
At this point I am locked into winning the top 16 tokens
rd 3 - Lanni Rains. I drew a bunch of attachments so not much opponent could do. Win rd 4 - Bara fealty. Opponent didn't draw painted table and I had lots of Milk/Craven/Pact for Robert (even with Cressen on table). At the end I tried to use Half Hand reaction to kill a Fickle Banner Man with 2 power on him, but the forced reaction actually crossed him to my side to win the game before I could kill him. win somehow
at this point, I clinched the Gray Joy play mat.
top cut top 8 - Lanni Rains. This was against good pal James who played vs this deck 2-3 times at nationals the week before, and he beat it once. So, he had a gameplan on how to win. However I got pretty far ahead, and tried to give the game away but deck is kind of foolproof vs lanni so I got the win. If we went a couple more rounds I may have lost.
due to my victory here, I secured the Lannister house card made of balsa wood. the craftsmenship on mine was poor and has some chips out of it, so if someone has an extra for trade or sale LMK
top 4 - Lanni Rains. Okay so I had never gotten past the top 4 ever (4 regional cuts last year; 1 loss in top 8, 3 losses in top 4). so, kind of hoping to actually make it to the finals this time. I was paired against RICK who is a cool based dude. he had a strong agot style lanni deck, using 7 cost cersei and crasterly rock to do 2 int challenges a turn. This proved difficult to deal with, as i basically needed to block 4 challenges instead of 3 a turn. I got a craven on cersei which would have been crazy, except i then do a throwaway INT challenge into her, lose by 5, and rick wildfires on defense. so basically i was trying to pull an atlanta falcons here. however, he just didnt have enough answers to the attachments, so i was able to achieve and make the finals!
So at this point I also locked up at least $50 in store credit! which was neat.
finals: lanni rains. So I play against Jim who is unbeaten to this point. I have a bad hand and mulligan into... something without red dots. awkward. luckily, he doesn't ever seem to draw much in the way of economy. I locked out his tywin early with pact i think, so he actually tossed him to mil claim. I think later in the game he had close call and may have replayed him? anyway we have some back and forth but eventually we get to a point where i am just passing challenges each turn. he had treachery for 3 turns in a row but we went to plot 9 i think and he just could not stop the inevitable.
with this win i locked up the trophy, the bye (for gencon? the nationals that happened the week before? canadien nats if they ever announce it? lmk in comments), $100 in store credit (bought secret hitler, the india/switzerland trains map, and an extra chapter pack with great halls, and some destiny boosters), and of course, THE COOKIE CAKE.
I ate the entire cookie and passed out and then two hours later woke up and was at home.
anyway credit to the district of columbia folks who designed this deck, and thanks for posting it so i didnt have to use the reverse engineered list, cause i probably would have ended up with the #dogplot in my deck.
anyway thats it, i suck at this game now. and i dont do funny or entertaining reports any more

only on valar turn where aemon will die otherwise, it lets you discard him instead so you can play another later |
Why did you take Cotter Pyke into the deck? His reaction does only work if there is a winter plot card played but in the deck there is none, so you are hoping that the opponent would play one or did you just take him because of his stats? |
Why would you save a character with Aemon first, before sacrificing him to Marriage Pact? You can sacrifice any other character that you do not save...
