Rules FAQ

  • If you reveal City of Shadows as your last plot, your other plots are still in your used pile at the time the When Revealed ability resolves.

  • A card with shadow is any card that has the shadow keyword, whether printed or gained. If a card has the printed shadow keyword but its text box is blanked, that card is not considered to be a card with shadow.

  • You have to choose a card if there is one available, even if you would prefer not to.

  • You can only choose cards in play. You cannot choose a card in shadows and return it to your hand.

  • The forced reactions of The Tattered Prince or Meera Reed happen after all When Revealed abilities have resolved. You can choose them for the When Revealed ability of City of Shadows and return them to shadows (or hand) before their forced reactions would trigger.

  • A card chosen for City of Shadows can be saved and kept in play.
