Rules FAQ

  • A "set" modifier takes precedence over any modifiers that increase or reduce a character's STR (see Modifiers). If multiple "set" modifiers are affecting the same character, the one that was applied most recently prevails. If they were applied simultaneously, the first player decides which one prevails. (See Priority of Simultaneous Resolution.)

  • Northern Pyre cannot be used while Striking at Dawn is revealed, because setting a character's STR to 3 is considered to be increasing or reducing the STR.

  • A terminal burn effect (such as Dracarys!) can still be used on the character after Northern Pyre sets its STR to 3. It will not reduce that character's STR or kill it during that challenge, but it will still take effect once the challenge ends.
