MatchstickMan 13
(3rd place in Titan Games and Comics Duluth Store Championship)
Get Balon Greyjoy out and keep him alive. Stack him up with his kids Theon Greyjoy & Asha Greyjoy for stealth, pull in ‘s for renown.
If you don’t find Great Kraken hope you get a Support of the People, otherwise I’ll use it to pull a Raiding Longship or The Seastone Chair.
Balanced plots with 4 high, 1 medium and 2 low initiatives.

Also I’ve made one change to this deck from the tournament, I pulled Syrio Forel. I had 1 copy in the deck and only pulled him once during the tournament. Not seeing the value from him and his ability didn’t come into play in that match. |
Titan Duluth Store Championship
Round 1 - Baratheon / Rose - Win
Was shut down for a long period of time in this game due to kneeling. At one point was down 1 - 11. With 5 minutes left in the round I was able to mount a recovery and won at time.
** 15 - 9 **
Round 2 - Baratheon / Rose - Win
Seriously, again. This time was different. Baratheon was anti-military, concentrated on power and dominance. The Reader was able to mill 2 Seen In Flames, 2 Robert Baratheon, 1 Melisandre (already on the board would of been a dupe). Game went close to time due to some early lock down, but won.
15 - 6(?)
Round 3 - Targaryen / Fealty - Win
Pretty hard match up, he was able to get Daenerys Targaryen out pretty early, but not much beyond that. Stopped a Fire and Blood after I had killed a dragon using The Hand’s Judgment. Stopped his two claim The Winds of Winter by getting him to kneel everyone but an Unsullied which he used as claim to prevent killing Daeny or Khal Drogo. Won at time.
15 - 8(?)
Round 4 - Greyjoy / Sun - Loss
This was the guy who ended up winning the tournament, and a very close game. Started out with a strong board in turn 2. After he played Wildfire Assault I was unable to recover. I made a mistake in letting him go first on turn in which he kneeled my Sea Tower which prevented me from getting both my Lordsport Shipwright and The Kingsroad on the board. He then intrigued the Kingsroad out of my hand, then pillaged and took it with Euron Crow’s Eye. This let him get Nymeria Sand onto the board the next turn, which he wouldn’t of been able to do without it. Last turn he used Nymeria to pull Balon’s power off when I played A Clash of Kings and with that most I could get to would be 14 power when he was already sitting at 14 and still had challenges to do. Called it there.
10 - 15
Ended 2nd or 3rd at the cut
being a cut to the top 4 it didn’t matter as 2nd would play 3rd.
Elimination Round 1 - Greyjoy / Sun - Loss
Look familiar? Two of the top players were playing very similar decks. I don’t remember much about this game, but I made a crucial mistake at the end. Let him go first when I wasn’t paying attention and he was sitting at 12 power. If I had gone first it would have at least stalled the game for another turn. Slightly disappointed since the other guy going into the final had already won a store championship so the bye automatically went to the other person.
