An experimental Night's Watch deck with barely any Night's Watch. [Tyrell: 35, Night's Watch: 13, Neutral: 12.]
When the big guns hit, the game's board state changes drastically. The idea of this deck is to take advantage of the Night's Watch's Old Forest Hunter and A Meager Contribution, in order to speed marshal Tyrell's non-loyal Lords and Ladies, in order to take control of the board state easily.
For this purpose, the plot deck is composed of 3 big/easy gold plots, A Noble Cause, Marching Orders and Calling the Banners in order for you to put important characters into play.
Character-wise, majority of the deck are Tyrells. Left and Right, when used in tandem, provide a solid defense. Courtesan of the Rose and Samwell Tarly are cheap intrigue, with Sam providing additional draw. Rattleshirt's Raiders provides some protection against Milk of the Poppy, while Yoren and Maester Aemon act as annoyances to your opponent. Olenna's Informant , while expensive, can push for a double military challenge, specially if your opponent opposed just to prevent a difference of 5 strength. Considering the amount of Night's Watch cards, the deck does not pack even a single Steward at the Wall.
The downside of the deck is losing Tyrell's The Mander, in favor of the more expensive (at least at the long run) Messenger Raven. Positive side is, the Ravens can act as emergency claim soak and are way easier to trigger.
"The Bear and the Maiden Fair" can be used offensively to deny characters or important cards or as a substitute (if somewhat subpar) to Olenna's Cunning.
I have been thinking of similar deck than this, using house X and banner Y, but using only few X cards and alot of Y cards.
Let us know when you get the chance to try this deck.
