Played this at Dice Age today in Vancouver WA(right across the river from Portland, OR) 15 players total. Was only 4 rounds of swiss with no cut. I made a few changes from my last list to deal with what I thought the meta would be like today. It turned out ok. I think the deck probably needs 2-3 more 2 drops in exchange for heavy hitters but you really want the big guys in the mirror. I expected a couple of the mirror today so I brought the deck like this and even switched out a burned men for a tickler to try to break up large boards.
Lannister LotC is very good and I feel it has all the tools you need to take down a tournament.

The triple seal(and lack of milk/widows wail) was a meta call. I was expecting Lannister LotC and a Baratheon/Martell player to give me trouble. Since store champs are small(15 ppl) I had a good chance of playing these good players. Being able to dupe seal makes it stick around longer against Bara which is really key. Lack of milk is due to rattleshirts/cressen. The temporary relief is just not worth it in those matchups. You really want it against players cutting confiscation and attachment removal though. If I was to play in a larger meta tomorrow say Regionals there would probably be 2 seal 2 milk like my last iteration because I feel that is more flexible. |
Is Calling the Banners x2 worth it when you're looking to keep boards extra small? |
Calling the Banners has been good. I'm not really looking to keep boards extra small, if they have 2 guys on their board I'm usually winning and it doesn't matter that I'm short a few gold. 6 Init and 6 reserve is nice. |
How was the triple seal?
