I know Kings of Winter seems dumb for a desert faction but it just seems dumb.. It works pretty well. The main theme of this deck is to use your intrigue as both an and and possibly a 2 claim with Tears of Lys and Tyene Sand. Since your challenges are so clutch the -1 reserve is a big deal and -1 gold makes a difference more than you may think.

Keywords will play a big part that's why the Dayne characters are featured.
Edric Dayne has stealth. Starfall Cavalry and House Dayne Knight have the ability to gain intimidate with Dawn

Harmen Uller gives all the sand snakes ambush. Venomous Blade has ambush and works well as an anti bran stark who can be a pain for Tears of Lys or Vengeance for Elia. And besides there's always a 2 strength character that's better off dead. Areo Hotah has ambush and his ability is clutch in so many situations. That, and the amount of stealth is why I feel The First Snow of Winter is a must for this deck.

The other porpose for this deck is make sure your opponent loses something every time he or she wins via His Viper Eyes Vengeance for Elia Ghaston Grey Bastard Daughter.

With the amount of ambush and events and Arianne Martell this deck will have your opponent always guessing at your next move. Often their own imagination or fear of an unseen consequence result in over committed challenges or passed challenges.
