With this deck I got second place at the Treviglio Store Championship (16 players). The mvps of the deck are, imho, Qhorin and Benjen that accelerate the power grab. I'm also really happy about the plot choice, especially for the two winter festival (they were crucial in a couple of games). I'm planning to include in my locations the The Shadow Tower in order to slow down the power rush that dominate my meta in this moment.
I went 3-1 in the Swiss:
-
Round 1: win vs Martell/RoC This was the strangest match since i didn't play The Wall for the entire game, but thanks to Benjen Stark, Qhorin Halfhand, Thoren Smallwood and winter festival I won. Truth be told, my opponent had some bad luck.
-
Round 2: win vs targaryen/KoS This Match was really rapid since I saw The Wall at the first turn and the The Hand's Judgment for his Dracarys!.
-
Round 3: loss vs lannister/LotC This is a really fast deck, and at the first plot, with Heads on Spikes he took The Wall off of my hand. I kill Cersei Lannister (LoCR) with Valar Morghulis, but it wasn't enough and he won.
- Round 4: win vs Baratheon/banner of the kraken I knew he didn't run the Chamber of the Painted Table (that card is a nightmare for this deck) and so I play more relaxed. With Valar Morghulis I kill his Melisandre (Core) and Victarion Greyjoy, He didn't see any Iron Mines to save them, and after that (thanks to his low economy) I accelerate the power grab with Qhorin Halfhand and the winter festival.
Top 4: win vs lannister/LotC This was one of the best game I ever had. It was the rematch of the swiss. This time I played the wall rapidly and I was able to defend it (also thanks to Craven and Milk of the Poppy). At the last round (7th) there was a huge board (the calulations were really complex) and we were 13(for me)-12(for him). I go first (he played winter festival, so I want that The Wall was the first interruption) using For the Watch! and I won thanks to to a huge huge challenge with the renown of Qhorin Halfhand.
Final: loss vs tyrell/LotC Little to say: he shocked me with a huge amount of power in the first three turns (I made a terrible set-up and I see very bad economy and I wasn't able to recover after my Valar Morghulis ). Congratulation to Andrea that won the store :-)
