So I’m trying out Lannister annd really wanna make it work in the big boys league ! I’ve been tweaking this deck more more and and after reading @ycombinator’s “A Study and Analysis of Control in AGOT: Lannister Version” He convinced me that I would play a third copy of Grand Maester Pycelle and made it seem possible to do without The Kingsroad
I choose to do without Littlefinger and played Rattleshirt’s Raiders since I’ve seen what the opponents are willing to sacrifce to keep their precious Milks or Weapon attachments. I also feel that I don’t need Littlefinger for either gold nor cards since I draw cards pretty often as it is, and I already have gold in madness, I’d rather stick with the extra military from Rattleshirt’s Raiders.
So the main focus is making sure the opponets has NO options on hand. The dream trick is Cersei Lannister combined with The Things I Do For Love, by making sure the opponent have no card on his/her hand, sending up one of the big lord or ladys and then discarding them via
As I said, I’ve played Lannister Fealty ALOT, especially against Fealty Martell. And i gotta say, the power of making sure the opponent holds little to no tricks upp their sleeve due to Cersei Lannister
When it comes to my choice of - Cards is that I choose to replace A Noble Cause with Marching Orders due to the insane amount of money to make Tywin Lannister huge, or to spit out 4-5 characters during the second round.
A Game of Thrones and Calm Over Westeros are their to make sure I get to keep my characters/cards early game, making my board larger and puts me more in control. Wildfire Assault, a reset Filthy Accusations and Confiscation to insure my plans doesn’t get spoiled. One of my triumph cards is a late game Heads on Spikes after I’ve used The Things I Do For Love while the opponent has no cards on their hands due to Cersei Lannister or Casterly Rock, you can use this to remove a serious threat, such as The Red Viper Robert Baratheon Daenerys Targaryen or any other Lord/Lady that will be a pain in your ass.
Tears of Lys is a great card since this deck will dominate the phase
Overall I really enjoy playing this deck so I want it to make it able to make it to the metagame standard!
And when The Road to Winterfell chapter pack comes out, this deck will have plenty of more controll options, and as son as Taking the black comes, I think I will replace The Tickler for The Hound and possibly one of the Burned Men
Swapping - only a few cards for swapping in my opinion, it would be Marched to the Wall or Calm Over Westeros for Rebuilding. I Love that plot, and gives me more duplicates or uses of Milk of the Poppy and The Things I Do For Love

Thank you! Oops, edited, thanks! Mind I ask what you like about it? |
Yes of course. Sorry I just was in a hurry and wanted to fix the Plot thing first. I like the way you prevent the claim of your opponents by using Plots like A Game of Thrones and Calm Over Westeros since Lannisters don’t have that great of a capability. 3x The Hand’s Judgment and Treachery may also cancel target kill effects. And you definitely need that to keep your Chars alive until Ser Jaime Lannister or Tywin Lannister show up. I’m not the most experienced player, but I am a bit worried about the lack of The Kingsroad in the early state of the Game, because you run 3x Tyrion Lannister, Tywin and Jaime. To get them into play you may not use your 8 ambush Chars or The Things I Do For Love (because you may kneel your faction card for marshalling) unless you get a great setup. Just as I said, I’m a newer player and some of these concernes may be unfounded. Please correct me, if I’m wrong at some topics. |
Im not really worried about removing kingsroad, I have a lot of limited cards already due to Lannisport Moneylender and I usually play Marching Orders when I have two of the four Lionmen in my hand (Tyrion Lannister, Tywin Lannister Ser Jaime Lannister and Cersei Lannister). The one problem I encounter with that cards is that it only has a reserve value of 4, so I might end up discarding cards - this is also one of the reasons I can feel confident about leaving Littlefinger out of the deck - but overall pleased since I can set up a pretty aggressive board early on or after a Wildfire Assault. There are so much dangerous abilities amongst the four lionmen, so the opponents actually have a hard time deciding who to use Milk of the Poppy on. As for the ambush issue, remeber that Tyrion Lannister together with Casterly Rock gives me 4 gold each phase and Burned Men and Gold Cloaks are but “ambush (2)”, and if I don’t have a The Things I Do For Love in my hand, I can always kneel my faction card to reduce the cost of The Queen’s Assassin since that card is loyal :) |
It is important to note that Fealty cannot be used to reduce the cost of The Queen’s Assassin because ambush isn’t “marshaling” nor “playing the card” you’re ambushing in. Check this post for more information: www.cardgamedb.com |
I like this one! I guess you consider to swap Marching Orders for Rebuilding, since Marched to the Wall is not in your Plot Deck.
