Hey guys, just sharing the latest version of a fun deck i've been playing with.
Steal with Winterfell, Daario Naharis and Sea Bitch
Kill with Ser Gregor Clegane (FotS), Wyman Manderly (R), The North Remembers
Control the Board with Renly Baratheon and his team of jumpers. Along with Grey Ghost and Flea Bottom it can almost guarantee to get you UO and trigger Winterfell
Some notes:
No one expects this combo: Support of the People to grab Winterfell and steal a guy in the same reaction window (the challenge has to be both UO and won by 5 STR)
The kill effect of Wyman Manderly has no limit. so you can kill as many times as you want to burn through dupes and Bodyguards. Same for The North Remembers, the sac cannot be saved by a dup.
a nice way to retrieve The North Remembers from your discard pile is to just use Ser Willam Wells. but ofc Wyman Manderly and Ser Gregor Clegane can get it for you as well.
Always try to get at least 1 steal and 1 kill effect, preferably Winterfell should be placed in setup, even if you don't draw economy
You don't always have to sacrifice or kill your opponents stuff. Sometimes you can just sac a goldless Flea Bottom or sac/kill a guy from Qyburn, or a guy from Flea Bottom.
Highborn Recruit is mostly claim meat, but sometimes he can give you an extra card with Insight, or even can help to close the game with Renown
The Shadow Tower doesn't usually do much, but when you face a shadowy type it can just win the game
I know Mag the Mighty could fit in this deck, but he is too expensive and too easy to control with 1 icon, I found that Ser Gregor Clegane is much more useful
You won't be able to use Sea Bitch on your opponents Winterfell (WotN) if you have your own Winterfell out. it's kinda obvious but I found it the hard way.
Renly Baratheon is a King! So you have a save from cards like The King in the North, Balon Greyjoy, Beggar King, Joffrey Baratheon, Robb Stark. it's not a huge bonus, but still. Renly really does bring a lot to the deck: surprise jumps, economy, renown, icons, King trait. Great card
This deck loses pretty hard to location control such as Khorane Sathmantes Salladhor Saan and any GJ stuff, but I did have some wins vs GJ Winter.
Oh and our biggest enemy is Balon Greyjoy (KotI), our team of characters is designed to disrupt challenges when they enter play, and Balon Greyjoy can use them to your opponents advantage. So if you see Balon Greyjoy, do whatever you can to get rid of him
I was looking forward for this list, thanks for sharing(we met a couple of times online and you absolutely crushed me)
