Just another standard Greyjoy Fealty I guess.
I eschewed the go-first tech in Raiding Longship and The Kraken's Grasp in favour of going second and seeing how the Raider from Pyke fared with some ambush Throwing Axe. I did actually have some Fishing Net in the deck but took them out for the Risen from the Sea. The rest of the deck speaks for itself I guess.
I actually created this deck the night before the tournament, and halfway into the two hour drive, I realised that I'd forgotten my Confiscation and a two claim plot. I had a spare deck with me and put in A Clash of Kings, but unfortunately instead of Confiscation I had to run Trading with the Pentoshi which I only used once in Swiss.
A lack of Confiscation proved to be troublesome as milked Balon Greyjoy in the last three games made the game much harder than necessary.
If I changed the deck, I would remove 2x Throwing Axe and replace with Seal of the Hand for the Baratheon match up, put in The Winds of Winter and Confiscation in place of Trading with the Pentoshi and A Clash of Kings. I was reasonably happy with the rest of the deck.

Harsh Rebecca, harsh. |
OK I'll mention it. I played my partner Rebecca in the 5th round of Swiss who was running Targ Lion. I smashed her spirit early on by kneeling both of her The Kingsroads with two Lordsport Shipwright so she couldn't marshal two of the epic characters in her hand (out of Ser Gregor Clegane, Khal Drogo and Daenerys Targaryen). Then I destroyed her confidence by getting unopposed power challenges with super Balon Greyjoy. Although she later played Dracarys! on both Asha Greyjoy and Balon Greyjoy, Theon Greyjoy and Euron Crow's Eye were there for me when I needed them, leaving Rebecca in a quivering weeping mess on the floor as I took my 15th and final . How's that? |
Hahaha cheeky sod! ... But yeah that's pretty much how it went down *sobs |
Have you thought of running fishing nets in this? |

Yeah it was a small tournament though, went 6-0 and won the tournament. Won vs three Baratheon decks, a Stark, Martell and a Targ. I had 3 Milk's and 2 Seal of the Hand for attachments and the Milks were the MVP's of the day (usually hitting Mel stannis and Nymeria). I was also playing crossing which is better than fealty imo. The third challenge with Balon puts him at 7 str (without any buffs) so its easy for you to get unnopposed or unopposed if you have The Seastone Chair out. In my final game I didn't see any Balon but towards the end I had two Drowned Men both at 9 Str and 3 Priest's at 5 str which secured the round as the Targ player couldn't make up the numbers to win challenges. Faced a Mirri in the last game but all i had to do was leave Euron standing in Def (with a Iron Fleet Scout ready just in case). |
Crossing is certainly good. Instead of saying it's better than Fealty, I would say it's more geared toward rush, whereas Fealty is happy to go for the longer tempo game. I do like your idea of Seals in the deck; not many outside of Lannister seem to be running it at the moment, so in conjunction with Milk, it's more likely to stick if they Confiscate the Milk first... |
You forgot to mention that you and your girlfriend fought for a top 8 placing in the last round, and that you destroyed her hopes and dreams by beating her and knocking her down to 9th, only to lose in the next round ;)
