Isn't Valar Morghulis counter productive for what you try to achieve? Also isn't The God's Eye a little expensive?

Cool list, His Viper Eyes and Bastard Daughter definitely help with the piling up the discard =) I personally won't play Valar Morghulis in my NG list, as Varys will resset anyway and you don't want your opponents chars in the dead pile.

Why the double Varys's Riddle though?

The meanest deck around town. Once I saw a poor dudes Tywin marshaled I knew Night Gathers was awesome

@uBaH Valar was experimental since I only really play in tournaments. I didn't really need it all day, but if I would have been able to trigger Varys in the finals to get rid of Tywin's dupe and valar to kill him, I would have been able to grind the win out (apparently nightmares in nymeria and ptts on Varys is a strong play when your opponent has no HJ). I'm an old school player (ccg era), so I believe that Valar is good going into a tourney to save you even if you only want to use it once all day to save you. As for The God's Eye, it is expensive but totally worth. You need a high reserve to make the deck work, and gold is always great. With the Martell attachments 'living' in your hand you need a high reserve, on top of cards like Messenger Raven forcing a high reserve. NW also has an advantage over every other faction with their access to Old Forest Hunter. He allows you to play situational cards and throw them away for gold if theyre not going to give value, so if I draw The God's Eye too late, I use it for fodder.

@Dydra I appreciate the praise, especially coming from somebody whose decks are so awesome. I was inspired by your Stahleck list (but too lazy to copy the link last night to give you the "inspired from"). I really wanted to play your deck or the Bara Sun that got second, so I decided to "play both". I think playing Valar or not playing Valar are both fine. Valar is just a safety net but going forward I'm not sure I'd play it in the deck again. It was nice vs Stark Fealty to follow up a Varys to clear Edward and Catelyn, and the varys sent Robb to the discard pile so I still had a good target for Night Gathers.... I do think that if I continue to run valar, I'd go down to 1 copy of nymeria and replace the dupes with the third copy of the attachments that I didn't run. I doubled up on riddle for the stats. You can reliably expect to trigger Night Gathers... with 7 reserve, so I wanted as many of those plots as possible. 6 initiative and 5g are great too since I want to go second and barf out so many cards every turn. I probably wouldn't run both again, but I don't regret trying it out. I hit something good in every game, the only downside is i gave my Stark opponent 3g extra from it when he flipped trading on turn 3 or 4 but the first Varys's Riddle hit his building orders and let me search out an icon attachment, which was really valuable. I have some ideas going forward about how to play the deck, but valar is still in it and the second Varys's Riddle will probably turn into a second Counting Coppers to help me get all of my attachments. I can see Valar being cut in v3 if the attachments give me enough control over the sticky characters, but with duped Tywin Lannister (Core) being still cancerous and squids loving their dupes, I don't think Varys alone will be sufficient yet.
