Rules FAQ

• You do not have to state which option you are choosing before the cancel window has passed.

• The limit twice per round applies to both options together. You can only trigger the Action ability twice in total.

• Drawing the location is mandatory, even if you would prefer to keep it on top of your deck. Similarly, putting it into play is mandatory if it has The Reach trait, even if you would prefer to draw it.

• If you reveal a location but cannot draw it (for instance, due to The High Sparrow), it simply remains on top of your deck. If you reveal a The Reach location that you cannot put into play (for instance, due to The Iron Throne (LMHR)), it also remains on top of your deck. Such a card stops being revealed once the resolution of the ability is completed.

Rules FAQ

• If you discard Missandei and trigger her interrupt, the cost of the ability is still considered to have been paid successfully.

• If attached character cannot stand (for instance, due to Delena Florent), you cannot trigger the ability just to discard a card from your hand.

• You cannot discard cards from under The Great Pyramid to pay the cost of the ability.

Rules FAQ

• The character you put into play can be saved from returning to hand (for instance, by Golden Company (HMW)).

• If the character enters play as a duplicate, that duplicate will return to hand at the end of the phase. If the specific duplicate is no longer in play at that point, nothing will happen to the character or to any other duplicates on it. Note that Golden Company cannot be used to save a duplicate from returning to hand.

• The card returns to hand after interrupts to the phase ending can be triggered, and after lasting effects that last "until the end of the phase" expire. (See End of Phase.)

Rules FAQ

• Daenerys ignores all modifiers that would reduce her STR. You also cannot set her STR to a value lower than 3. (See FAQ.)

• The constant ability does not prevent an effect that increased Daenerys's STR from expiring.

• You cannot save from a terminal condition unless the save effect also remedies that condition (for instance, Risen from the Sea bringing the character's STR to 1, or Hagen's Daughter removing herself from play).

• Reactions to an event being played share the reaction window with reactions to the effects of that event.

Rules FAQ

• You can still search for Fist of the First Men even if you know you cannot possibly find it.

• Note that (unlike the original) this version of the card does not have the Steward trait. Therefore Fresh Recruits can only find 1 copy of it.
